Keith and Pat welcome you to The Plume of Feathers, Princetown. A traditionally
family run Inn situated in the heart of Dartmoor. The Plume is Princetown's
oldest building (1785), with copper bars, log fires, oil lamps, plenty of
atmosphere, and also retains many of its original features...slate floors,
exposed beams and granite walls.
We are ideally situated for Hikers, Adventure Groups, Schools, and Nature Lovers
etc and as a base to visit most of Devon and Cornwall.
The Plume of Feathers Inn is situated in the moorland village of Princetown,
Dartmoors main vaillage. On the outskirts of Princetown is the world renowned
Dartmoor Prison, completed in 1809, it was originally built to house the French
and American prisoners of war.
Dartmoor National Park which covers over 369 square miles is famous for its
rugged beauty, quaint villages, prehistoric remains, and its many peaks, such
as High Willhays (2039ft) and Yes Tor (2030ft).
